Itron, Inc. R&D Engineer- Process and Tools Management Engineer in Liberty Lake, Washington

The R&D Process and Tools manager is responsible for optimizing R&D processes and tools to support efficient solution development. Process development engineers play a crucial role driving efficiencies to improve cycle time and quality of our solutions. You will have ownership of the unified Global R&D processes, procedures and policies and tools that support. Duties and Responsibilities Optimizing Processes and Documenting processes: Process developers optimize processes by improving efficiency, reliability, capacity, and de-bottlenecking. These processes need to be documented and available in a "on stop" shop mechanism to support audits. Collaboration: They work closely with R&D resources to establish efficient processes. Cross-Functional Teams: Process developers collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure alignment. Alignment on global tools and tools management: responsible for managing the tools needed by R&D to do their jobs. This includes developing the tools methodologies, processes and tools management (optimization, usage and automated reporting). Extensive knowledge of the Azure Dev Ops suite is essential. R&D Metrics: develop R&D metrics and dashboards to demonstrate execution progress, efficiency, accuracy and performance. This includes communication to stakeholders with emphasis on technical deliverables and execution Champions and supports effective change management initiatives and drives culture, leading through influence and alignment to the senior leader's vision of transparency, collaboration, and engagement Qualifications typically include relevant education (such as Bachelor's or master's degrees in engineering and skills related to R&D processes Required Skills & Experience: Proven experience (10 years) in R&D, development tools, governance, risk management, compliance, in a related field. Proven experience in the Azure Dev Ops services. Including implementation of standardized methodologies and management of the tools itself. Strong understanding of governance principles, frameworks, and standards Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations, identify key issues, and develop practical solutions. Exceptional project management skills with a track record of successfully leading and executing governance-related initiatives and complex projects including new product development and it's transition into the production environment.This includes software, firmware and hardware projects. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong leadership abilities with the capability to influence and drive change across cross-functional teams. Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications (MS Power platform & applications). Commitment to upholding ethical standards and promoting a culture of integrity and accountability within the organization. Bachelor's degree in related field (Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience. Preferred Skills & Experience: Master's degree in related field (Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) Extensive knowledge of all Microsoft suites of tools Travel: 1-10% Location: Liberty Lake, WA Physical Demands: This is a typical office job, with no special physical requirements or unusual work environ
