Cabinet Mountain Brewing Co. values continuous process of improvement, high quality products and superior customer service Position Description- The kitchen's focus is on quality food preparation and sales: the Company offers its guests a simple, yet signature menu, that is easily prepared and varies seasonally. As the' taste' of the Company it is imperative that the Kitchen Aide present a consistent company message through quality, consistent food offerings. The Kitchen Aide is an integral member of Cabinet Mountain Brewing Company's team and will be expected to work collaboratively with and report directly to Management, together working to meet Company goals. Qualifications- This work requires knowledge of kitchen methods and procedures; food preparation; cleaning equipment; safe food preparation standards and sanitation methods; skill in the use of commercial kitchen appliances; understand written and oral instructions; handle sensitive and confidential information; and establish and maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Additionally, the position requires excellent quality control, time management and communication skills, from a candidate who takes initiative and is self directed while working in a team-based atmosphere. The Aide must be in good physical condition as the position will require some heavy lifting (40+lbs). This person is subject to continuous standing/walking and frequent stooping, reaching, pushing, pulling and bending and must demonstrate the ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions. Candidates must: ? Have a passion for great food; ? Display integrity, critical thinking capabilities, attention to quality and detail, and be dependable; ? Be able to multitask and work calmly under pressure and stay focused on objectives and priorities while maintaining Company standards. ? Demonstrate competency in reading, writing and accuracy in math; ? Have reliable transportation and have attained a High School Diploma or equivalent. ? Work and communicate well with other staff, customers, suppliers and outside parties ? Embrace a process of, and opportunity for continual improvement ? In addition, the ideal Aide has at least three years of experience in the hospitality industry; knowledge of cooking, and/ or serving; Health Department Certification is preferred. Responsibilities/Expectations- ? Exceeds all customer expectations during the course of the meal in order to achieve a positive experience for the guest ? Follows State policies and regulations for serving foods in a responsible manner, including Maintaining a clean, safe, organized and regulatory compliant work environment with an emphasis on quality control and Health Department protocols ? Must be able to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with other co-workers at the Company ? Be educated about the Company?s food offerings and be able to create custom options as necessary ? Position requires some exercise of judgment and problem-solving skills within policy guidelines and without supervisory approval; getting assistance when needed ? Have a strong understanding of other Cabinet Mountain Brewing Company operations ? Duties include, but are not limited to: ? Prepare and plate food in an efficient, correct and aesthetically pleasing manner with the highest regard to food quality and consistency; following approved procedures. ? Serve plated dishes to customers ? Maintain adequate quantities of prepared food items, prepping/preparing/cooking/thawing items as needed while practicing safe use of all food service equipment. ? Set up and/or break down kitchen in a timely manner ? Perform workspace/equipment maintena ce and cleaning as assigned ? Maintain inventory of the Kitchen and document low quantities of items ? Store food in designated containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage. ? Take and record temperature of food and food storage areas, such as refrigerators and freezers and maintain proper food temperatures. ? Scour & scrub large cooking utensils ? Unload and store supplies ? Put dishes away ? Perform other related duties as assigned. This is a position that will currently be scheduled in shifts of approximately 6-8 hours/day including days, nights, weekends and some holidays. Management reserves the right to adjust as necessary. The Kitchen Aide will be paid an hourly wage supplemented with a percentage of tips from food order sales.
