BAE Systems SCA Warehouse Specialist in Lexington Park, Maryland

Job Description

This position is for a Warehouse Specialist for the Air Traffic Control Division. The selected candidate must be a self-motivated individual with preferred experience in receiving, storing, inventorying, issuing parts and data entry. Will be required to operate a computer, forklift, pallet jack, small hand tools and other warehouse material handling equipment. Duties for this position include physical exertion such as lifting (no more than 40lbs) stooping, standing, bending, squatting, reaching and climbing ladders. Hazardous materials are part of the work environment. The selected candidate will be required to wear approved safety shoes at all times plus other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.

This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary's County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. There is no monetary relocation assistance budgeted for this position. Applicants must be currently residing in or state willingness to relocate self to St. Mary's County, Maryland or surrounding areas.

The hourly rate is set by the government and is not negotiable: 18.92/hr.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

High School Diploma and some related experience

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Experience with Microsoft Office applications

Ability to exert physical energy (lift no more than 50lbs and climb ladders)

Pay Information

This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
