ManTech Model Based Systems Engineer, Journeyman in Lexington Park, Maryland

Description & Requirements

ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model Based Systems Engineer, Journeyman to join our team in the Lexington Park, MD area. This is an on contractor site position.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems.

  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.

  • Applies systems engineering experience to perform system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.

  • Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to requirements of military weapons systems.

  • May provide entry level support in performing functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in a Technical or Scientific area is required.

  • Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of experience working in areas associated with engineering, systems engineering. At least two (2) of those years must include experience with model-based engineering applications and technology, including use of MBSE tools such as Cameo system Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator.

  • Expertise in building and assessing systems engineering and architecture models using modeling methodology.

  • Experience performing system engineering analyses and using results to draw conclusions.

  • Experience with modeling languages and frameworks such as UML, SysML, and UAF.

  • This is an at contractor position. Must be able to report to contractor workspaces five (5) days per week.

  • This position may require travel within the United States (less than 10%)

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen and have a Secret security clearance

Physical Requirements:

  • Tasking is primarily computer based. The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, Customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods (e.g. TEAMS, ZOOM).

The projected compensation range for this position is $73,500.00-$122,600.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
