*Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer local candidates willing to work a hybrid in-office work schedule (3 days per week).

How You’ll Make an Impact

The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely completion of payroll processing tasks, oversee UKG Dimensions' time and attendance processing and running/creating UKG related reports upon requests and responding to inquiries related to payroll processes and procedures. Serves as liaison between the Payroll department and all VGO locations. This role assists in the review of time-sheets for accuracy and aiding in manager training when corrections are needed. This role safeguards payment policies to ensure accurate timekeeping an monitors and maintains status changes to employee records that require action by the Payroll department to ensure accurate withholding of state and local taxes. In this role, you are responsible for working with other Valvoline Global Operations departments for data request including but not limited to HR, Treasury and A/P. The coordinator will also complete reviews of reports to identify any payment items that outside a level of standard reasonableness.

In the role, you would be responsible for:

  • Laison between Valvoline Payroll and Valvoline field management/employees, various HR areas, and other departments.

  • Receive emails concerning timekeeping issues. Investigate what is wrong and correct/resolve or refer them to the person that can help them. Primarily own all UKG end user challenges and issues by problem solving and working closely with HRIS to escalate as needed.

  • Process garnishment work not covered by ADP contract. Includes entering credits to employees for money returned, working with child support agencies on deduction amounts for bonuses, and faxing garnishment orders to ADP.

  • Run several reports daily reviewing changes to employee records that may require updates to employee records to insure payroll processes correctly. This includes, but not limited to address changes, transfers, tax info for residential & job site and terminations.

  • Download ADP data and save it on the VGO share drive. Record all wage payments in excel spreadsheet that will be used to verify ADP daily invoicing and assisting with internal/external auditors. Work with treasury to create necessary debit/credit memos to clear the ADP vendor account.

  • When payrolls are processing, pull time from UKG Dimensions and correcting fallouts. Preparation of stop payments, direct deposit returns, and deletes for processing. Responsible for reviewing the daily audit report, analyze reports to spot possible issues with the payroll run, make necessary corrections, and updating both UKG Dimensions and Success Factors as necessary.

What You’ll Need

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2-3 years minimum of Payroll processing experience

  • Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word)

  • Excellent customer-service and strong communication skills

  • General understanding of compensation and benefits policies

  • General knowledge of payroll taxes

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
