We have a client looking to hire a new Full Charge Bookkeeper/Office Manager. In this role, the Full Charge Bookkeeper will direct journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, financial statement preparation, audit, full cycle A/P, payroll, and bank reconciliations. At times, the Full Charge Bookkeeper might also be asked to oversee the clerical staff. Our ideal Bookkeeper candidate will be able to thrive under tight deadlines with minimal supervision while performing as a self-driven and organized accounting professional. You will also perform the duties of office manager which includes ordering supplies, tracking staff PTO, managing vendors. This permanent employment opportunity is based in the Lexington, Kentucky area.
How you will make an impact
Capable in credit card management and reconciliation
Sustain Accounts Payable
Draw up monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents
Secondary assignment when necessary
Maintain monthly accounting close
Organize subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement
Direct Accounts Receivable
Assemble cash flow projections, as needed
Organize cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc.
Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments
Mark budget transfers
Business license and gross receipts coverage
Requirements
Great attention to detail
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Strong time management and organizational skills
Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities
Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well
Strong communication and social skills
Ability to handle multiple projects within strict deadlines
Expertise in Annual Inventory
Quickbooks Online experience Required
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred
- Relevant accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred
