Currently we have a Benefits & HR Assistant position open. This position assists the Benefits/Payroll office with daily maintenance activities, as well as support other HR areas with employee communications and special projects. Essential functions of the position include:Review employee benefit enrollments and qualifying event changes for completeness.Enter and maintain timely, accurate data in HRIS and with benefit carriers. Ex. Medical, dental, COBRA, 401(k). Assist in preparing and distributing various employee communications for benefits or other purposes as assigned. Maintain accurate records of benefit plan invoicing and payments collected. Prepare invoices for payment. Transmit routine 401(k) data with record keeper (ex. contributions funding each pay period).Present new hire benefits orientation. Maintain accurate and orderly employee files. Assist bereaved with claiming death benefits. Assist with preparing data for periodic audits. Assist HR Director and staff with employee events, record keeping, and other duties as assigned. Learn payroll processing to serve as backup. General qualifications for this role:High School or GED. College degree preferredMinimum of one (1) year experience in benefits work preferred.Payroll processing experience is a plus.
