We are in search of an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Lexington, Kentucky. This role involves maintaining and managing vendor relationships, processing payments, and assisting with audits. The successful candidate will be adept at multi-tasking and working under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
• Establish and maintain new vendors in our ERP, ensuring all necessary tax forms are current.
• Oversee check runs on a weekly basis, including ACH and wire payments to both domestic and foreign vendors.
• Assist with accounts payable reconciliation tasks and other duties as required at the end of each month.
• Maintain lists of capital expenditure assets and construction in progress documents.
• Manage employee expense report reimbursements and credit card payments.
• Oversee the 1099 process and distribution at year end.
• Contribute to external audits as needed.
• Develop a biweekly payables cash flow.
• Collaborate with procurement to maintain vendor relationships and payment terms.
• Compare purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges.
• Provide assistance on different projects as needed
Requirements • Must possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation is required
• Must have prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience with Check Runs is necessary
• Familiarity with Coding Invoices is crucial
• Strong Data Entry skills are required
• Proficiency in Invoice Processing is necessary
• Must be well-versed with Microsoft Excel
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy are required
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Problem-solving and analytical skills are necessary
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field is preferred.
