Are you a detail-oriented financial professional? Our client is seeking an exceptional Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join their dynamic team in Lexington, Kentucky. In this pivotal role, you'll spearhead the financial reporting operations within their accounting department, lead the reporting process, and manage the preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations. You’ll also dive into financial analysis to bolster forecasting and strategic initiatives, working cross-functionally with various departments to achieve their business goals.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting Leadership: Oversee daily financial reporting operations within the accounting department.
Reporting Process Management: Lead the reporting process, ensuring all financial deadlines are met with precision.
Monthly Accounting Tasks: Manage the preparation of monthly journal entries and account reconciliations.
Financial Analysis: Analyze financial information, detailing assets, liabilities, and capital.
Report Preparation: Assist in preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports to summarize and interpret the company's current and projected financial position.
System Implementation Leadership: Lead and support system implementations to enhance efficiency.
Team Development: Direct, train, and oversee the technical and career development of Senior Accountants and Accountants to ensure continuous operational excellence.
Procedure and Control Enhancement: Implement, monitor, and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with other departments to meet business objectives.
Audit Support: Prepare and review documentation to assist internal and external auditors.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and business.

Requirements
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is a must
• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is necessary
• Proficiency in Accounting Functions is required
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures is necessary
• Experience in Billing Functions is highly preferred. Prior experience in a managerial or supervisory role in accounting is required
• Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills are essential
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities are necessary
• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or relevant certification is preferred.
