Prime Controls Production Associate II - Lewisville, TX in Lewisville, Texas

Job Overview: 

As a Production Associate II, you will play a crucial role in the fabrication process of structural and sheet metal products. Working under the guidance of the Production Manager, you will be responsible for various tasks, including selecting parts, utilizing computer software for data input, and ensuring the accuracy of assembly based on schematics. 

A Typical Day at Prime Controls 

  • Using Bill of Materials (BOM) selects parts from stock room needed for panels. Checks schematics to match and verify that the BOM is correct. Adds and removes parts based on these schematics. 

  • Inputs various data into computer software and exports to printers and engravers. Creates wire tags, block markers, and name plates using computers, printers, wire tag machines, and engraving machines. 

  • Creates various labels using software such as WinTools and Corel Draw. 

  • Uses hand-held scanners to maintain and track inventory in stock room. 

  • Places equipment in panel slots. May require the use of hand tools to secure equipment in place. 

  • Escalates issues when incorrect drawings and schematics are discovered. These errors are redlined and escalated so that documents can be updated. 

  • Performs other routine duties. 

What You Will Bring 

The Basic 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED). 

  • 3 years' experience building control panels 

  • Basic computer skills, including data entry and software operations (e.g., WinTools and Corel Draw). 

  • Familiarity with hand tools, such as screwdrivers, crimpers, strippers, and heat guns.
