DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position is responsible for supervising In-home Caseworkers with the development of Family Service Plans for families and children. You will distribute work assignments to maintain balanced caseloads; consult with and advise caseworkers on decisions regarding when to continue services, close out cases, or implement safety plans; and review work or provide training as need to help your caseworkers stay strength based, solution focused, and supportive of each child and family's unique needs.
Communication skills are essential for maintaining relationships with available services and service providers, attending meetings with agency development teams and outside agencies, and ensuring accurate documentation of all meetings, home visits, and communication with clients. You will also be responsible for ensuring work complies with state and federal regulations, preparing and reviewing court documents, attending or testifying at hearings, and consulting with attorneys regarding cases as needed.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment. 72.5 hours biweekly Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 45-minute lunch. Caseworkers will share on-call duties. Travel and overtime are required on an as needed basis. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.
Other Requirements: This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license which is not under suspension. You must meet the PA residency requirement. Legal Requirements: A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening. This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law. Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
