Alphabroder Production Floor Artist in Lewisberry, Pennsylvania
Job Summary
Production Floor Artists use their experience with Adobe design software, Illustrator, Photoshop and a specialized separation software, to review and edit customer’s digital files to prepare them for print with a specific emphasis on high end separation art on the production floor. Employees must have a keen eye for detail and work closely with all departments to ensure that we are meeting the customer’s expectation and servicing the Production Department. Production Artist must be resourceful, have strong problem-solving skills, be deadline driven and know how to manage time. **Please note: This is not a creative position. This position is NOT Remote.
Make orders ready for production
Create production files
Manipulate art using Adobe Illustrator
Analyze art for potential issues
Resolve / communicate print issues to the internal Art Team
Provide accurate, valid, and complete information to customers (internal and external) by using the right methods/tools
Meet personal / team order movement targets and order handling quotas
Manage the Art Helpdesk maintaining the required response time
Make proper edits to production files on the production floor for best imprint with an emphasis on multicolor and high end separations
Follow communication procedures, guidelines, and policies
Help maintain the art materials on the production floor for the local production facility
Assist in the PRP Proofing process for the production facility production facility
Cross train in all art roles and act as a backup for other team members
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Proven customer support experience
Track record of achieving quota
Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
Strong artistic skills
Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
Preferred Skills
High school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
3-5 years of experience in a production art or related filed
Master level skills using Illustrator and PhotoShop
Mac experience
High end Separation experience
