Defense Information Systems Agency LEAD IT PROJECT MANAGER (INFOSEC) in Letterkenny Army Depot, Pennsylvania

Summary This position is located in Defense Information Systems Agency, organization EX (OPERATIONS, PLANS AND EXERCISES DIRECTORATE)in Letterkenny, PA. Responsibilities Serves as a Team Leader for the planning, training, and standardizing support to all areas of Information Assurance (IA) and computer network defenses. The duties include performing technical work and leading the work of a team. Apply IT project management principles, methods, and practices. Develop plans and schedules, estimate resource requirements, define milestones and deliverables, monitor activities, and evaluate/ report on accomplishments to manage assigned projects. Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, in order to present technical briefings to senior technical and managerial personnel, prepares in-depth reports, and deals with other on controversial issues. Knowledge of national and international laws, regulations, policies, and ethics as they relate to cybersecurity. Skill in applying information systems cybersecurity principles, concepts and methods. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Basic Requirements: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate. For GG-14: For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. AND Qualifying Experience for GG-14: Positions at GG-7 (or equivalent) and above require one year of qualifying experience at the next lower GG-grade (or equivalent). Qualifying experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE: Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience as a Team Lead for both contractor and civilian personnel. Experience in providing advice and assistance in the areas of Project Management. Experience in Cybersecurity Service Operations. Experience in briefing Senior leadership and large audiences.
