Boston Symphony Orchestra at Tanglewood Tanglewood IT Support in Lenox, Massachusetts

About Tanglewood In 1940, the Berkshire Music Center (now the Tanglewood Music Center) began its operations. Home to the famous Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the site of one of the world\'s best-known music festivals, Tanglewood hosts the Festival of Contemporary Music, along with many other events including concerts of various genres from jazz to pop. Today, Tanglewood annually draws over 350,000 visitors. Each season offers not only a vast quantity of music, but also a vast range of musical forms and styles, all of it presented with a regard for artistic excellence that makes the festival unique. Summary: We are looking for entry-level IT Service seasonal help to provide IT support to end users in a fast-paced environment at Tanglewood in Lenox, MA. The IT support focuses on the technology used to support concert performances and daily staff requirements. You should possess a strong desire to learn software and troubleshooting skills to help ensure the technology maximizes up-time and effectiveness. Job Responsibilities - Provide first point of contact for IT Services throughout the Tanglewood campus including in-person, e-mail, phone and cell phone. - Assist in the onboarding of Tanglewood Seasonal Workers by making sure Login requirements. - Provide IT Customer Service and Experience, work hours can include Weekends and Weekday evenings. - Monitor and replace printer and multi-function Printer (MFP) toner cartridges. - Troubleshoot and resolve all printer and MFP issues; paper- jams, scan and assist in maintaining a 100% up time as needed. - Assist with WIFI Management and connectivity during the Tanglewood season. - Act as point of contact for IT Services related issues when primary contact is unavailable. - Identify and recommend fixes to potential technological challenges. - Install software, printer\'s drivers and resolve software related problems Qualifications: Possess a strong desire to learn and gain experience in a fast-paced environment. Candidates should be working on a degree in computer science, management information systems, or similar. Excellent interpersonal communication skills; verbal and written. Strong PC skills with emphasis on Windows 10 in a Domain environment. Excellent interpersonal skills with both internal and external contacts. Interact with employees in a friendly and professional manner. Strong documentation skills and attention to detail. Basic understanding of LAN, WAN and WIFI. Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Must be able to work a nonconventional 5-day work week (Weekend work expected) with nonconventional work hours (1 - 9 pm most days) for a work week of 30-40 hours. Must have reliable transportation and a track record for being on time. Help desk experience a plus. Customer Service experience a plus.
