As an Electrical/Industrial Intern summer Engineer, you will be involved in different task to drive improvements in our main KPI’s, you will be working in different projects and learning for experienced Manufacturing Engineers.

This position will be involved with repairs and overhaul for Aircraft Galey Insert products as: Ovens, Chillers, refrigerators, coffee makers, oxygen systems and Lightning products. The team is great working collaborative, we have engineers working in this company for more than 20 years and they will be sharing all their experience with you. Have fun while you build your experience, interact with a great team members with extensive range of experience in manufacturing, design, electric, electronics, very dynamic environment you never get bored! This role in onsite, in Lenexa, Kansas.

What You Will Do:

  • You will provide solutions to advanced Engineering issues.

  • You will work on advanced engineering problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of various factors. Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

  • You will develop/Improve Engineering Processes and Procedures.

  • You will support in ensuring that metrics and KPIs are meet.

  • You will be able to recommend decisions or actions that consider implications to his work and section.

What You Will Learn:

  • You will be provided access to Collin’s Aerospace communities of practice for learning and networking opportunities.

  • You will be learning how the spares/retrofit and repair and maintenance operates for our MRO locations around the globe.

  • You will learn how to develop, implement and execute ideas that reduce waste in our processes.

  • You will learn design and execution of devices& fixture to help to improve our safety and FPY.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.

  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee or asylee status) as defined here: https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-22/chapter-I/subchapter-M/part-120/subpart-C/section-120.62.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Engineering degree in process : Electrical /Electronic or Industrial engineering.

  • Continuous improvement process.

  • Basic understanding of electronic PCB and diagrams.

  • Software design (SolidWorks, Autocad).

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
