Grundfos are looking for an a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our Industry team as a Sales Engineer- Consultant Specification.

As a Sales Engineer focussing on consultant specification, you will be the “pump consultant to the consultants” in the UK & Ireland. Using your comprehensive technical expertise in pumps, systems, and controls, you’ll assist industrial consultants in the design and specification of the next generation of efficient and sustainable factories.

What is the job About?
In this role you will work directly with Industrial consultants in UK and Ireland on the design of New Build, Greenfield, and Expansion projects. You will be responsible for assisting with pump selections and system designs, ensuring that Grundfos is selected as the preferred pump supplier on new projects.You will be the trusted knowledge partner who visits these consultants during design phase of new industry sites to help the customer deliver their sustainability targets in water and energy.
Key responsibilities include:
Develop business within Industrial consultants for Grundfos products and services.
Create market strategy, plan activities, and set targets for Industrial project/consultant markets to optimise sales opportunities.
Seek out new projects and consultants, establish relationships leading to RFQs and become the preferred pump supplier.
Coordinate project inquiries with Project Proposal Engineers, including RFQs, tendering documentation, technical bidding, and terms and conditions appraisal.
Train consultants in CPD training sessions and provide product and application training program for target customers through Grundfos Industrial Pump School.
Responsible for market intelligence in the Industrial Project business, in collaboration with the marketing team.
Provide monthly reports on Projects in the Specification Phase, released Project Specifications, and the status of the opportunity pipeline.
Maintain regular customer contact to improve relationships and grow business for Grundfos Pumps Ltd.
Work with the rest of the Projects team to convert the opportunity pipeline into actual orders when released to EPC’s and contractors.
Travel to Ireland for minimum of one week every 4 to 6 weeks is required.
What do you need to apply?
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following skills and qualities:
High degree of technical knowledge of pumps, pump applications, installation, and operation.
Sustainability is in your DNA, and you are passionate about Water and Energy conservation.
Experience working with consultants in the design phase.
Existing network of consultants would be beneficial.
Knowledge and experience in the Industrial market would be advantageous.
Strong communication skills and persuasiveness to excite customers and build long-term relationships.
Proficient at working autonomously and taking the initiative.
Effective collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross collaboratively with other departments.
Proven ability to identify areas for improvement and drive methodical process improvement.
Goal-oriented, hunter mindset, delivering positive results
Thrives in a business with a solid sales culture.
Working knowledge of SAP CRM/BW would be beneficial.
