What is the job about?

Our Field Service Engineer role is ultimately responsible for the execution, repair, and maintenance of fire pumps and fire safety systems for our customers. Working either independently or in a team to address the customers' requests efficiently and professionally.

You would need the ability to disassemble, inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and replace parts, along with being able to reassemble pumps and pump systems.

Moreover, you will be responsible for:

  • Advising the customer about shortcomings in their fire safety system, preventing problems, and offering solutions to these problems.

  • Identify and provide solutions for service and warranty matters (special consultation with technical support may be required).

  • Prepare clear and complete service reports and ensure that these are submitted on time (warranty claims, working hours FAS, etc.).

  • Register identified product quality issues in the systems.

  • Assist in project execution -repair and commissioning, etc.

  • Execute the agreed maintenance services and SLA for service agreements.

  • Provide feedback of relevant information to the respective stakeholders.

  • Prepare inputs for quoting out-of-warranty repairs.

  • Continue learning and development to build up hands-on service capability.

  • Master the use of service tools and equipment.

  • H&S awareness (shown through Hazard observation, Risk assessment accuracy, and Safe system of work).

What do you need to apply?

Our ideal candidate will have experience in the pump industry or similar. Ideally, strong knowledge of fire pump technology and a technical education in electrical/mechanical engineering are preferred but not essential. We are pleased to offer comprehensive training to any experienced pump engineers who are looking to expand their expertise and gain knowledge specifically in working with fire pumps.
