CPS Production Supervisor in Lehighton, Pennsylvania

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Determine daily production schedule and communicate to team leader for labor scheduling
  • Determine the number of employees needed to schedule daily
  • Work with team leaders, shipping and receiving supervisor, quality, and other production supervisor, to assist in training of new employees in production department
  • Train leads to ensure that they can perform the requirements of their positions successfully. Provide timely, constructive feedback regarding performance.
  • Manage non-performing employees in accordance with company policies and high potential employees to career succession and growth opportunities
  • Manage with intent to motivate, train, and develop verify all documents from shipping and receiving supervisor for accuracy and communication with cold storage as needed. Complete transfers and work order documents in computer system
  • Determine correct item codes for daily production, open work orders and create labels. 
  • Complete Bills of Lading for outbound trucks to cold storage (or approve BOL's) as needed, ensuring that item numbers, lot numbers and quantities are accurate. Compile as back up for workorder documents
  • Choose correct item codes for inbound product, create new PO's as needed, record weights in computer system and create receiving packets for accounting team
  • Equipment- setup, operate, troubleshoot, train
  • Order supplies as needed for production and quality departments
  • Work with Human Resources to develop and implement staff evaluations

Qualifications:

  • Excellent leadership and organizational abilities
  • Superior knowledge of industry regulations and operational guidelines.
  • Supervision of large number of employees in excess of 60 per shift
  • Experience in a Union environment(preferred)
  • In-depth knowledge of data analysis software
  • Proven knowledge of performance evaluation metrics in a business setting
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
