Practical Nursing Instructor

Location: Lehi, UT

Status: Full-Time

Hours: Monday - Friday; 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

Pay/Salary: $65,000 - $72,000

Summary

As a Practical Nursing Instructor, you will be vital in preparing LPN students for licensure. Your responsibilities include setting and communicating clear learning objectives and tailoring teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles. You will foster the development of professional attitudes and behaviors while equipping students with the knowledge and skills required to deliver outstanding patient care and excel in their nursing careers.

What You'll Do:

Responsibilities of the Practical Nursing Instructor include, but are not limited to:

  • Deliver course content as outlined in the curriculum, including theoretical instruction.

  • Collaborate with PN Program Directors to address and resolve issues impacting student outcomes.

  • Foster professional attitudes, knowledge, and behaviors in students by modeling appropriate conduct and addressing inappropriate behaviors as necessary.

  • Develop lesson plans aligned with approved course outcomes and learning objectives.

  • Regularly upload syllabi, lesson plans, rubrics, assignment guidelines, tests, course schedules, and other relevant materials to the designated shared nursing drive.

  • Explore and implement strategies to enhance teaching by reviewing available resources and recommending the acquisition of appropriate materials.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What We're Looking For:

  • A current Registered Nurse (RN) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) license in Utah is required.

  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution is required; a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Nursing Education is preferred.

  • A minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an RN or APRN is required.

  • Experience in nursing education and leadership is preferred.

  • Strong teamwork skills and a commitment to student success are essential.
