M. J. Electric, LLC Manager of Financial Reporting in Leesport, Pennsylvania
Reference #: 669 Position Purpose: To coordinate and direct the financial reporting for an operating area of the company, prepare corporate and regional financial analyses of operations, including interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, for the guidance of management and public reporting. Essential Responsibilities *Develops, analyzes, and interprets statistical and accounting information in order to appraise operating results in terms of profitability, performance against budget, and other matters bearing on the fiscal soundness and operating effectiveness of the organization *Coordinates and directs the preparation of budgets, financial forecasts, public disclosure documents, balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial operating reports *Institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures, analyzes and reports variances *Analyzes trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, leases, contracts, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses *Performs financial analysis, creates operating models and special statistical studies *Offers suggestions about resource utilization, payroll practices and budget forecasts *Examines, analyzes, and interprets complex accounting records for the purpose of giving advice or preparing financial statements *Assists with the development and tracking of key performance metrics *Supports the execution and communication of the company's Strategic Plan *Establishes major economic objectives and policies for the company and prepares reports that outline the company's financial position in the areas of income, expenses, and earnings based on past, present, and future operations *Coordinates and directs the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures (including the cost accounting system) and analyzes and reports variances *Provides effective financial controls in accordance with the Company's established risk controls *Travels to regional offices periodically (4-8 times per year) Knowledge | Skills | Abilities *Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) *Ability to collect and assemble data for the development of financial reports *Ability to analyze complex information and formulate decisions *Knowledge of financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting methods *Ability to communicate effectively with operations *Strong software proficiency *Strong managerial/leadership skills *Ability to travel to regional offices Qualifications *Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance *10+ years of financial management experience *Equivalent combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position Work Environment *Must be able to remain in a stationary position over 50% of the time *The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc *Continuously operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, scanner, and computer printer *The person in this position frequently communicates with employees and coworkers and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations *Occasionally lifting 20 pounds *Must be able to travel to regional offices
