Aston Carter Accounts Payable Specialist in LEE'S SUMMIT, Missouri
Aston Carter is partnering with a growing infrastructure company in the Kansas City area on an Accounts Payable Specialist opportunity! This is a great opportunity to join a growing company that partners with some of the largest railroad companies in the country. They are seeking candidates with 3+ years of full cycle accounts payable experience.
Job Description:
Greet visitors and answer phones
Open and distribute mail
Schedule office vendors
Order office supplies
Process a high volume of payable invoices and get correct approvals and job costing
Scan in documents for electronic filing
Issue PO’s
Reconcile vendor statements and communicate with vendors on discrepancies
Respond to payment status requests via email or phone
Process weekly check runs
Enter ACH payments in accounting system
Maintain payment tracking spreadsheets
New vendor onboarding
Credit Apps
Collect updated COI’s from vendors
Other duties as required
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounts payable.
Possess a general understanding of basic accounting and job costing principles – construction experience is a plus.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize daily tasks to meet deadlines and to work independently as well as part of the team and with a wide variety of people.
Exceptional ability to handle a high volume of AP email and keep them tasks orgafized.
