  • Develop LV and HV (up to and including 20kV) projects initial functional requirement into compliant cost-effective engineering solutions.

  • Project manage the development and delivery of LV and HV OHL projects (up to and including 20kV) to time, cost, safety and quality.

  • Interface with customers as well as internal and external resources to develop and deliver LV and HV OHL projects.

  • Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed LV and HV OHL projects.

  • Effectively communicate with internal engineering and industrial resource.

  • Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial.

  • Visit sites to assess project requirements, meet with project team/contractors, monitor work progress, safety audits, discuss engineering difficulties, etc.

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering, with at least five years of relevant experience.

  • Experience managing medium-large scale LV and HV OHL projects (up to and including20kV) throughout the full project lifecycle from initiation, specification and design, tendering, construction, energisation through to project closure.

  • A good understanding of electrical distribution plant items such as Switchgear, Protection, Power Transformers and Underground power cables.

  • Knowledge of applicable engineering standards.

  • Excellent understanding of the H&S and CDM requirements.

  • An ability to undertake the role of ‘Designer’ and ‘Principal Designer’ under the CDM regulations.

  • Full driving licence with the ability to travel to client’s sites and offices within North East of England and Yorkshire.
