Develop LV and HV (up to and including 20kV) projects initial functional requirement into compliant cost-effective engineering solutions.
Project manage the development and delivery of LV and HV OHL projects (up to and including 20kV) to time, cost, safety and quality.
Interface with customers as well as internal and external resources to develop and deliver LV and HV OHL projects.
Undertake the role of CDM Designer and/or Principal Designer for developed LV and HV OHL projects.
Effectively communicate with internal engineering and industrial resource.
Coordinate external service providers and administer commercial.
Visit sites to assess project requirements, meet with project team/contractors, monitor work progress, safety audits, discuss engineering difficulties, etc.
Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering, with at least five years of relevant experience.
Experience managing medium-large scale LV and HV OHL projects (up to and including20kV) throughout the full project lifecycle from initiation, specification and design, tendering, construction, energisation through to project closure.
A good understanding of electrical distribution plant items such as Switchgear, Protection, Power Transformers and Underground power cables.
Knowledge of applicable engineering standards.
Excellent understanding of the H&S and CDM requirements.
An ability to undertake the role of ‘Designer’ and ‘Principal Designer’ under the CDM regulations.
Full driving licence with the ability to travel to client’s sites and offices within North East of England and Yorkshire.
