High Lawn Farm is looking for a detail-oriented individual to oversee the quality control aspects of dairy product production, throughout our dairy plant, cheese making, butter, and ice cream processing. A strong candidate will be self-driven and work well independently, with good communication skills, as well as patience and understanding. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO: - Quality control of raw and finished products - Understanding of current state and federal regulations for food processing - Sample, test, and identify potential bacteria - Prepare and maintain Food Safety Plans, environmental testing, and records - Arrange, conduct, and coordinate audits, inspections, and food safety meetings - Coordinate and lead food safety training REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have a solid understanding of food safety and production and hold a high school diploma or higher. Candidates for this position must be willing to take courses and pursue continued education to stay up to date with regulations. Preference will be given to applicants who have lab experience, and an understanding of microbiology and chemistry. Additionally, preference will be given to bi-lingual candidates.
