Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Leader position is a critical support role for the management and accuracy of the storage, control, and distribution of materials to fulfill the SIOP.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Inventory Control:
Prepares Parts Negative Report reconciliation on weekly basis for assigned groups.
Responsible for making new parts locations and updating information in Syteline.
Maintains and provides leadership for an effective cycle count program.
Completes JIT transactions daily.
Conducts frequent audits of physical inventory as well as system inventory transactions.
Determine within manufacturing process the step in which material is consumed and updating job routers to reflect.
Conducts root cause analysis activities and proposes thoughtful corrective actions to allow for data based continous improvement trends related to inventory accuracy and availability.
Investigates excess inventory by researching open PO’s, Safety Stock values, and open Jobs.
Key Contributor for Annual Physical Inventory:
Clears floor stock reports, closes jobs.
Other Production responsibilities:
Tracks missing parts from pick carts and records data to highlight trends.
Conducts steel reconciliation adjustments within Syteline.
Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Computer programs including: MS Office required.
Intermediate to advanced spreadsheet skills.
Knowledge of manufacturing software a plus.
Strong analytical skills to analyze any discrepancies that are found.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma required
College Degree strongly preferred
3-5 years of inventory management experience is preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on computers.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking through the factory.
