SCOPE:
The Sales Training and Development Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering high-impact training programs for both virtual and in-person formats to support the ongoing development of the sales team. The Specialist works closely with Sales Leadership and team members to identify skill gaps and training needs, create engaging content, and track training effectiveness. This role includes managing training materials, coordinating onboarding for new sales personnel, and continuously improving the training experience. This Specialist will also contribute to our Consultative Selling program and maintain a collaborative approach with internal and external stakeholders across the organization.

Collaborate with sales leadership and other SMEs to determine learning requirements and design engaging solutions that meet the unique needs of our sales staff
Create engaging, clear, and effective learning materials, including presentations, eLearning, modules, and reference guides
Design visually appealing informative graphics to support training content, ensuring materials are both educational and engaging
Apply the ADDIE, or similar instructional design methodology to the development of all training materials, ensuring content is structured and aligned with business needs
Conduct thorough research to enhance understanding of identified sales topics, incorporating relevant industry insights and best practices
Continuously assess and update training content to ensure it is relevant, up-to-date, and aligned with the latest sales strategies, tools and products
In collaboration with the Sales Training Manager develop pre and post training assessments to measure knowledge retention and sales performance improvements
Participate in CEU certification sessions with salespeople, providing constructive feedback to help them meet certification requirements
Performs other related duties as assigned

Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE/ SKILLS/ EXPERIENCE/ EDUCATION: (Minimum Education and/or Experience required)
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Education, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years in Sales Training, Development, or related role; experience in product manufacturing for the construction industry highly preferred.
Sales Background: Experience in a sales role or deep understanding of the sales process is ideal, enabling effective content creation tailored to sales team needs.
Technical Proficiency:
Proficient in Adobe Captivate, Articulate, Canva, and other training design tools.
Comfortable using Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
