CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting for a Porter (Facilities)

Job Responsibilities

· Managing the Goods Bay office and ensuring that all site facilities are running smoothly, ensuring high standards across the site at all times.

· Supporting the Reception – Including answering Switchboard

· Supporting Courier delivery – in and out services

· Ensuring cost effective delivery of all services to the client.

· Providing cover to the wider Facilities management team when required including covering Mail Room Duties

· Transportation of items to the client within the building.

· Setting up any meeting room requests

· Adhoc requirements such as setting up the meeting rooms for events if needed

· Support any reasonable requirements to meet business needs/Prioritize when required.

· Ensuring the office is maintained, damages are reported to the Facility Manager

· Check facilities related stock is replenished

· Have an understanding and appreciation of health and safety regulations, and the ability to apply these practically and effectively.

· Providing administrative support to the department, as required, including finance tasks and reports.

· Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Client

  • Ownership of site Mail, delivery and Porterage requirements

  • Supervision of Subcontractors and Compliance of all QHSE Requirements

  • Provide support to the Facility Manager with oversight of wider soft services functions of the FM team

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Minimum of two years of related experience and/or training.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to comprehend and interpret instructions, short correspondence, and memos and ask clarifying questions to ensure understanding. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from clients, co-workers, and/or supervisor. Ability to effectively present information to an internal department and/or large groups of employees.

FINANCIAL KNOWLEDGE

Requires basic knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to understand and carry out general instructions in standard situations. Ability to solve problems in standard situations. Requires basic analytical skills.

OTHER SKILLS and/or ABILITIES

Basic skills with Microsoft Office Outlook. Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders and ability to lift and carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
