Job Summary: [Lessons will be offered through online reservations; therefore, instructors will be scheduled for prepaid lesson sessions and are required to be ready booted up at their scheduled times. Using effective communication skills with students is an essential part of the teaching process. When working directly with the public, it is important to conduct yourself professionally and always maintain a positive attitude.

• Willingness to maintain the safety and well-being of students assigned to you.
• Communicate effectively not only with your students but also with parents, staff, supervisors, and the public.
• Use teaching methods described in PSIA/AASI publications, Terry Peak training materials, and Clinics as a base for your lessons.
• Accept assignments cheerfully and share your passion for skiing and snowboarding with our guests.
• Be ready to work by 8:30, as our lessons start at 9:00.
• Keep our customers happy and informed.
• Have basic knowledge of the lesson programs offered.
• Be able to provide general information about Terry Peak to guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide each student with a safe, fun, learning experience.

``` - Assist guests with equipment and provide help in the rental shop when needed. - Keep the instructor's locker room clean. - Answer guests questions and if unable to answer them find the person who can. - Attend training when offered. - Have a good understanding of accident and lost child procedures

**[Working Conditions: [Instructors will be required to work in all types of weather conditions. Wet snow, extreme cold, low visibility, extreme sun, etc. As a Terry Peak Instructor, it is important that you lead by example by knowing how to dress appropriately, including wearing a helmet. As a Terry Peak Instructor, it is important to use appropriate language and present a clean appearance while on duty and in your uniform. We expect you to conduct yourself in a professional manner and maintain a positive attitude. You represent the Terry Peak Ski School so put your best foot forward when working with your students and co-workers. Uniforms are provided by Terry Peak and must be worn when on duty. Understand that helping in other departments when needed may be necessary. Adhere to company Policies as described in the Employee Handbook.
