LeRoy Central School District CLERK-TYPIST in Le Roy, New York

Le Roy Central School District is seeking a dedicated professional for a clerk-typist vacancy. The position of Clerk-Typist is established for the purpose(s) of providing a variety of secretarial support to the Principal and Assistant Principal in the Main Office of the Le Roy Jr./Sr. High School.

This position is a 10 month position and starting pay is based on a pre-determined contractual rate and is commensurate with experience. This is a Genesee County Civil Service position. This position is included in the NYS Civil Service Hiring Emergency Limited Placement Program (HELP) and will not be a tested position if hired prior to 12/31/24.

Job Qualifications

The Ideal Candidate should have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma recognized by the NYS Department of Education, including or supplemented by a course in typing; or

  • Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma recognized by the NYS Department of Education, and six (6) months of full-time, paid clerical experience in which typing was required.

In addition, the successful applicant should possess:

  • working knowledge of office terminology;

  • ability to maintain strict confidentiality;

  • ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions;

  • knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google applications;

  • ability to get along well with others with exceptional public relations skills;

  • ability to create and keep records and prepare reports.
