BorgWarner Inc. Key Account Manager in Le Pecq, France

BorgWarner Turbo & Emission Systems France (Le Pecq) is looking for a Key Account Manager (m/f/d) for the customer RENAULT to increase his business on new product lines (High Voltage Coolant Heater, battery cooler and Power Electronics cooler, thermal management, …), strengthen relationship with Renault and improve performances and reactivity of BW ETTS toward Renault, i.e.:

Key roles and responsabilities

  • Prospecting and marketing with Renault in order to identify the future needs and the new business opportunities on new products lines (High Voltage Coolant Heater, battery cooler and Power Electronic cooler, thermal management, …)

  • Supporting for definition of internal strategy towards the customer

  • Driving the development of BW ETTS’s business, profitability and market share on OEM and OES (spare parts) with Renault on new products lines (High Voltage Coolant Heater, battery cooler and Power Electronic cooler, thermal management, …)

  • Working with Sales Management to deploy comprehensive pricing strategies considering market trends, value provided to the customer and competitive alternatives

  • Preparing commercial offers and answering to Renault’s requests of information and requests for quotation for all new projects within the allocated time in relation with BW ETTS teams

  • Leading and following up all commercial activities on serial projects and of in process being development projects with Renault

  • Negotiating of prices and management of productivity plans and technical savings with Renault in respect of BW ETTS procedures and profitability expectations

  • Complying with contract review procedures and BW ETTS policies

  • Leading and supporting formalization of contracts where needed between Renault and BW ETTS

  • Working out and updating regularly the BW ETTS mid and long range sales plan (LRP) for Renault according to BW ETTS process

  • Working out and updating on monthly base the rolling sales forecast according to BW ETTS process

  • Reinforcing, improving and building strong relationship with all key decision makers and actors among our customer (Engineering, Purchasing, Logistics, Quality, Manufacturing plants)

  • Monitoring and following up BW ETTS performance on key supplier metrics (delivery service rate, quality results in 0 km and field, productivities) versus BW ETTS commitments and pursuing corrective action plans in case of negative drifts

  • Coordinating and supporting for preparation and submission of answers to customer for all issues, criticisms and complaints highlighted by customer departments (commercial, quality, logistics, warranty)

  • Analysing, initializing and implementing all new customer procedures (Data exchange, Purchasing, B2B, Quality, Warranty)

  • Participation on all general supplier meetings organized by Renault and reporting of information to BW ETTS

Profile and competencies of candidate:

  • Sales engineer with good knowledge and experience with automotive components/systems and automotive manufacturer processes

  • Competencies and skills: Drive for results, Process Management, Functional/Technical Skills, Technical Learning, Conflict Management, Motivating Others, Strategic Agility, Customer Focus

  • priority setting, target and result oriented, strategic vision, skills for negotiation/relationship/communication

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in similar position in automotive industry

  • French language (native) and excellent practice of English language
