KIK Products Supply Planning Manager in Lawrenceville, Georgia

The Manager of Demand Planning has ownership of demand planning activities and is responsible for ensuring the demand planning process delivers a reliable forecast as a key input to the supply planning system. This position is responsible for working with the Sales, Operations, Supply Planning and Finance teams to put together a comprehensive and accurate forecast. This position is also responsible for developing and monitoring process metrics to drive process conformance, problem solving and improvement. The Manager of Demand Planning position is critical to delivering aggressive financial results. By managing and developing various KPIs and metrics and providing reporting to all levels of the business, the individual in this role can make a significant impact in Prestone’s Supply Chain.

  • Executing the demand planning process, clarifying ambiguity, developing approaches to new conditions, addressing bias and delivering forecasts of unconstrained customer level demand.

  • Leading the monthly Sales forecast calls, utilizing customer prior shipments, POS data, knowledge of business unit trends, and upcoming promotions to guide decision making.

  • Manage demand history to realign forecasts based on item version changes, customer entity changes, etc.

  • Update forecasts to assist in the conversion (run out) from one item to another.

  • Communicating with plants, Supply Planning, Marketing, Sales and Finance to ensure translation of the demand plan across and through the organization.

  • Working with the Business Units, Sales, Operations, Supply Planning and Finance teams in the Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process to assure alignment in between the forecast and financial plans.

  • Enhance forecast accuracy reporting. Including, creating efficient and effective reports, analyzing month end results and sending out monthly reports to appropriate parties.

  • Developing and monitoring process metrics to drive process conformance, problem solving and improvement.

  • Identifying quantified risks within the demand plan, reviewing gaps with Customer teams and developing appropriate countermeasures for resolution

  • Problem solving the highest causes of error by researching error, determining root cause and driving for improvement.

  • <5% travel required.

  • Ability to take initiative to solve problems and create reporting.

  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical / problem solving skills.

  • Strong sense of self-motivation and ability to work both independently and in a team setting.

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize efficiently.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead small teams.

  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (Supply Chain preferred).

  • 5 years Demand Planning experience (Manufacturing preferred).

  • Experience with creation of queries, reports and data extraction from ERP

  • Experience with JD Edwards or SAP.
