SENIOR ACCOUNTANT - Manufacturer in Lawrenceville

My client, a manufacturer in Lawrenceville, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to take on a leadership role within our accounting team. This position involves guiding accounting personnel in daily tasks, reviewing financial data to assist with forecasting decisions, and communicating with the VP of Finance about financial operations. The Senior Accountant will ensure the company’s financial procedures, records, and statements are in accordance with GAAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue.

  • Prepare documentation for external auditors.

  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the VP of Finance as necessary.

  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

  • Manage accounts receivable transactions and reconcile accounts.

  • Prepare state business activity tax returns.

  • Review and oversee day-to-day transactional general ledger activity.

  • Review commission calculations.

  • Prepare journal entries.

  • Manage other special projects as assigned.

    Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related business field is required.

  • Minimum of 3 years of corporate accounting experience.

  • CPA certification is a plus.

  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

  • Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.

  • Excellent mathematical and computational skills.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with outstanding analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work effectively in a team environment, and meet deadlines.

  • Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal.
