salary: $26 - $32 per hour
shift: Second
work hours: 4 PM - 12 AM
education: High School
Responsibilities
• Set up, program, operate and maintain CNC machines working from detailed
blueprints, to perform a variety of machining operations such as; mill, drill, ream,
punch, bore, turn, face, etc. to specific tolerances
• Set up, program, operate and maintain the Haas EC500 machine
• Set up machine by inserting correct tools and fixtures according to blueprints. Select
operation sequences, tools, feeds and speeds
• Develop programs occasionally or adjust tapes as required
• Devise new tools and fixtures for unusual operations by making machine
adjustments and grinding or sharpening existing tools
• Check dimensions on finished parts using a variety of precision measuring
instruments such as micrometers, gauges, and calipers
• Perform QC using standard tools
• Perform all other work-related duties as assigned
• Must be skilled in all aspects of programming, setup and operation of the Haas
vertical machining center.
• Must be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings of fabricated parts.
• Must be able to read and write machine “G” code specific to Haas programming.
• Must be experienced in the use of computer aided manufacturing software for light
editing if necessary.
• Must be familiar with basic inspection equipment micrometers, calipers, height gauge
etc.
• Knowledge of tools and clamping, speeds and feeds
• Must have good interdepartmental communication skills both verbal & written
• Ability to setup and operate CNC Vertical Mill working from detailed blueprints
The essential functions of this role include:
