The Associate Director, Commercialization Communications supports the development and implementation of communications strategies, plans and tactics for the Commercialization organization; provides executive communications support directly for the Chief Commercialization Officer, including development and execution of all written internal and external communications; ensures consistency of corporate and divisional messaging and implementation throughout the Worldwide Commercialization organizations globally.

The position requires a communications professional who demonstrates a deep understanding of our industry and the overall healthcare environment. This individual must have superior writing skills and a track record of delivering executive communication materials. To be successful, the individual must possess the ability to think strategically, execute tactically and be able to measure results in support of the business. Strong financial acumen preferred.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive communication strategic support and flawless execution to the Chief Commercialization Officer, inclusive of both internal and external positioning efforts.

  • Serve as the lead writer for the Chief Commercialization Officer.

  • Support the development of above-brand Commercialization communications messaging and plan for implementation.

  • Coordinate communications throughout the Commercialization organization and collaborate with disease area communication leads within Commercialization.

  • Work closely with content experts from across the company to identify internal and external storytelling opportunities.

  • Recommend and develop creative and imaginative communications that drive employee engagement within the Commercialization organization.

  • Drive employee engagement and high performance within the Commercialization organization by developing and executing communication plans that motivate employees to understand and take appropriate action to execute the company’s mission, vision, strategic priorities and culture in the work they do every day.

  • Support communications for the Commercialization Inclusion and Diversity Council

  • Leverage analytical insights and data to evaluate the impact of communications tactics.

  • Bachelor's Degree required, with a degree in communications or related field preferred.

A minimum of seven (7) years of experience in brand or corporate communications, public relations agency or related field. A strategic communications background in healthcare (e.g. pharma, agency, non-profit, academic medical center) or leadership communications is strongly preferred.
