Position Summary Information
General Summary
TheStudent Intern – Mechanical & Electrical Engineeringperforms assignments requiring application of standard techniques, procedures, and known criteria to solve basic engineering problems.
Essential Functions
Assists engineers in gathering record data and field data for preparation of designs.
Assists in preparation of contract documents.
Assist engineers with project related functions.
Assists engineers with data preparation and analysis for projects, inspections, and condition assessments.
Reviews plans of projects for functional design and conformance to Commission standards.
Other Functions
Performs other engineering related duties as required.
Work Environment And Physical Demands
Work is performed in a normal office setting. Field visits to job and/or construction sites are also required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
Knowledge of general mechanical or electrical engineering principals
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
Ability to conduct research and present findings
Strong oral and written communication skills
Minimum Education, Experience Requirements
College student pursing a degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or any other engineering discipline
Additional Requirements
Proficient in MS Office Suite applications
Preferences
Rising junior, senior, or graduate level student in mechanical or electrical engineering
AutoCAD experience
SalaryCommensurate with education and experience
