Actalent SMT Technician in Laurel, Maryland

Description:

Responsible for programming of pick-and-place machines, screen printers, and reflow ovens in support of the SMT process

Monitor SMT machines during production and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency

Visually inspect assembly for obvious damage, non-conformance, cleanliness, component mounting and installation, and soldering quality

Complete data recording/reporting activities for manufacturing control processes

Ensure compliance with customer requirements and industry standards

Communicates and coordinates as necessary with other Teams (Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Quality, etc

Skills:

smt, programming, process improvement, smt machine, pick-and-place, PCB Manufacturing, Electronics Manufacturing

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

2-4 years of relevant SMT manufacturing experience

Strong knowledge of SMT equipment, manufacturing processes, procedures, and quality requirements.

Working knowledge of IPC-610-A and J-STD-001 standards. Certification desired or the ability to obtain certifications as required

Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members and management

Ability to prioritize daily work to meet production schedules and planning
