ERP International Proposal Manager in Laurel, Maryland

Overview

ERP International is currently seeking a Mid-Level P roposal Manager for our Proposal Center of Excellence to contribute to the growth of new and retention of current business through the development of winning proposals through an end-to-end proposal management process. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Bids of Proposals and will be part of a collaborative team that interacts with ERP staff, leadership, partners, and contracting staff to develop proposal writing, graphics, and solutions to communicate key information to meet proposal and contractual requirements. This position is based out of Laurel, MD with remote work options.

Responsibilities

The Proposal Manager will support proposal activity across all divisions and types of work focused on the technical response. This individual will leverage the experience and best practices in the development and implementation of successful proposal strategies, processes, and tools. This position is a highly visible role that works closely with executive leadership, capture personnel, and operations management. Duties are performed within a team environment with a focus on quality and excellence.

  • Review incoming Task Order Proposal Requests (TOPRs), Requests for Information (RFI), and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)

  • Prepare & electronically submit proposal and RFI responses for small to medium-sized proposals and assist in the preparation of large proposal responses.

  • Authors appropriate proposal sections and help design graphic concepts using a variety of techniques.

  • Interview SMEs, partners, and other stakeholders to assist in content development.

  • Develop and maintain boilerplate content.

  • Ensure that technical proposals adhere to corporate standards for quality through rigorous quality assurance procedures.

  • Edit, layout, and format documents in common formats (Word, PDF)

  • Perform content and compliance reviews.

  • Envisions the entire proposal, ties in the win themes, reviews with the other groups, runs through daily meetings, understands and manages the entire proposal.

  • Maintains files on server and updates/reviews/manages contracting information such as but not limited to new awards and proposal bid documentation.

  • Develop presentation materials and facilitate job-related meetings (status meetings, reviews, strategy sessions)

  • Provides other documentation and/or reports to support ERP management.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Business, or related field preferred

  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience in federal proposals, technical writing, and/or project management/coordination

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Ability to balance multiple projects with superb accuracy, results oriented.

  • Demonstrated experience developing and refining written content for proposals or other contractual deliverables.

  • Prior experience writing in an IT environment/IT solution.

  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Exceptional communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills; both verbally and written.

  • Experience with and proficient in the use of common tools such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.

  • Attention to detail with the ability to multi-task, which promotes and supports the required full array of services necessary in a small business office environment.

  • Ability to work successfully and collaboratively in a matrix environment and proven record of fostering effective team collaboration.

  • Experience preparing graphics or flowcharts strongly preferred.

  • Willingness and desire to learn new skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with deadlines.
