Pay Range: $140,000 -$160,000

The salary range for this position is determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, qualifications, skill level, and location. The final salary offer will fall within this range and will be commensurate with the candidate’s background and the specific demands of the role.

Responsibilities

The Manager of Tax & Compliance will oversee tax and compliance matters for ERP and its subsidiaries and joint ventures. Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance functions, including managing internal control structures and addressing any compliance issues.

  • Develop and implement tax planning initiatives/strategies and recommendations in partnership with external tax and legal advisors.

  • Perform accrual-to-cash basis accounting conversion, project quarterly and annual tax liabilities, and integrate these with the company's cash flow forecast.

  • Prepare and file required annual/biennial reports with Secretaries of State/Commonwealth.

  • Manage the corporate insurance portfolio, overseeing and developing broker and carrier relationships, advocating for organization-wide efforts to protect key assets, and engaging stakeholders in risk management activities.

  • Create and maintain the organization’s comprehensive Corporate Risk Management Guide.

  • Monitor and maintain the corporate Dun and Bradstreet Rating.

  • Conduct internal reviews regularly to ensure that business activities align with internal policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Serve as an advisor to the Co-Founder & CEO on various strategic initiatives.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in tax compliance and planning.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex tax situations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and internal teams.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong leadership and management skills.

  • Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
