What you will be doing:
For the Italian production plant of Janssen (Borgo San Michele-Latina) we are looking for a QC Micro Technician to be hired on 12 months temporary contract in the QUALITY CONTROL DEPARTMENT.
What impact you will also have:
Carry out Microbiological testing according to standard procedures, such as Microbial Purity Test and Growth Promotion and Environmental Monitoring sampling of air, surfaces, waters and compressed gases;
Review and maintain stock of consumables and media for Microbiology department;
Acting safely and follows all Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) requirements for site and QC laboratories;
Analyzes and interprets results according to specifications and standard procedures;
Performs EMS data trending and Risk Assessment to evaluate microorganisms found;
Responsible for reporting Quality Issues (such as Out of Specification (OOS) or Out Of Trend (OOT) results) to the lab supervisor and manage them in Trackwise system as Initiator and/or Assessor;
Participates in laboratory investigations for OOS results;
Report instrument issues and Lab troubleshooting events, participating to their resolution;
Participates in lean lab operations, 5S methodology and continuous improvement programs to reduce operating costs;
Ensure the recording of all data related to methodologies about the analyzes carried out using, when necessary, also IT tools;
Always guarantee data integrity according to the ALCOA principles.
Qualifications
We would love to hear from you, if you have the following essential requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant scientific discipline (Microbiology, Biology, etc.);
Good knowledge of principal microbiological techniques such as microbial purity testing, growth promotion testing of microbiological media, identification of microbiological isolates, biological indicators, EM trending and data review;
Excellent teamwork skills, natural propensity for teamwork and compliance with high safety standards;
Ability to manage and communicate critical issues emerging during laboratory activities, to respect the due dates;
Tenacity in achieving goals and high critical level to evaluate data obtained;
Experience as a laboratory technician greater than 6 months in the microbiological laboratory and knowledge of GLP and GMP regulations will be both considered as a plus during the selection process;
LIMS experience preferred.
