Position Overview

The Senior Director, Talent Management plays a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing workforce that supports the organization's goals. They are responsible for overseeing and leading talent management strategies, and designing, implementing and managing programs and practices in alignment with C&S's strategic business and Human Resources plans. This role will focus on establishing effective performance management systems, succession planning to prepare future leaders, foster employee engagement to create a positive workplace culture, and promote diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives. This role will utilize data analytics to inform strategic talent decisions, collaborate with senior management to align talent strategies with business objectives, manage organizational change effectively, and ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards. The Senior Director Talent Management directly engages with Business Leaders, Human Resources Centers of Excellence, and HR Business Partners to provide strategic direction, and counsel regarding talent management priorities.

Description

  • Partner with and advise Business Leaders and various Human Resources stakeholders on succession and performance management strategies that support the business strategies of the various functions and business locations, and enhance retention of leaders and employees through key development investment actions designed to provide career opportunities and sustained organizational success.

  • Lead all aspects of the leadership competency model and skills strategies, to design and deliver a workforce management plan for now and into the future.

  • Manage and continuously improve performance appraisal systems that align individual and organizational goals, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and facilitating performance reviews.

  • Lead succession planning for the organization, including identifying and preparing future leaders within the organization, including assessing potential leaders and developing plans to ensure continuity in key positions.

  • Lead and manage Employee Engagement strategies, fostering a positive work environment and culture that promotes engagement and retention, including conducting surveys, advising on recognition programs, and facilitating open communication and action planning.

  • Design a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy to cultivate a culture of belonging and a diverse and thriving workforce through development of policies and practices; collaborate and influence across the Diversity Council leadership to activate programs and improve diversity engagement outcomes.

  • Design and implement executive hiring practices including sourcing strategies, onboarding experiences, and retention strategies.

  • Partner with Human Resources Business Partners to design and implement individualized coaching experiences and development plans, and manage external coaching partners.

  • Manage a small team directly and coordinate, partner, and co-create with business and Human Resources stakeholders; lead, mentor, and manage HR professionals.

  • Establish and utilize metrics, analytics and tracking mechanisms to inform decision-making; analyze employee data to identify trends, measure effectiveness, and drive strategic initiatives for maximum positive impact to the business.

  • Lead efforts to manage organizational change, ensuring that talent practices evolve in response to shifts in the business environment.

  • Ensure that all talent management practices comply with legal and ethical standards, as well as organizational policies.

  • Travel Required

Skills

  • Knowledge and experience in multiple modes of learning delivery; Ability to influence, consult and partner effectively with leaders at every level; Coaching and mentoring experience

  • Strong vendor and project management skills; Experience building and implementing large-scale learning systems and HR projects; Superior verbal and written communication skills; Ability to design and implement full-cycle performance management programs

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; Experience with Workday preferred

Years Of Experience

  • 10-15 : experience in Human Resources, including Performance Management, Employee Engagement, Learning & Development, and Training, preferably in a large organization

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree - Business Studies in Human Resource Management, Bachelor's Degree - Industrial & Organizational Psychology, Master's Degree - Organizational Leadership, SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) - Society for Human Resource Management
