Preparing journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation and general ledger reconciliation and being responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be essential for this role. We're looking for people who are flexible and can wear many hats.
Major responsibilities
Maintain billings, payment applications and reconciliations
Prepare commissions for sales team
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner
Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested
Perform the month end close and produce journal entries under minimal supervision
Produce complex journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
In-depth knowledge of reconciling month end balance sheet accounts
Prepare monthly financial close workbooks to support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process
Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP
Periodic maintenance and reconciliation of journal entries

Requirements - 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience
Competent with spreadsheets and databases
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
The ideal candidate will be highly-skilled with exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment
Ability to meet deadlines
Self-starter and strong ethical standards
High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Practical knowledge of Cash Payments
Experience with commissions accounting
Deep understanding of bank reconciliations
Balance Sheet Reconciliation experience
Background working with Accounts Payable (AP)
Adeptness in compensation and commissions
Journal entries experience desired
Payment Processing experience highly preferred
Earlier work involving Accounts Receivable (AR)
General familiarity with Billing Collection
Demonstrated knowledge of High-Volume Invoicing
Bank reconciliations experience
Proficient with spreadsheets and databases
