Front Desk Clerk Arizona Charlie’s Decatur (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Provides excellent service to all hotel guests. Assigns guest rooms, checks guests in and out of the hotel and manages a cash drawer.

Essential Functions:

  • Register guests and ensure all necessary details are obtained.

  • Assigns guests rooms in accordance with current policies and procedures

  • Manages cash flow in assigned bank and performs account postings

  • Maintains knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups and other situations affecting the front desk’s daily operations

  • Processes guest accounts upon check-out in an efficient and accurate manner

  • Provides excellent guest service and handles all special requests and complaints until guest is completely satisfied

  • Assists other departments with requirements they may have pertinent to hotel guests

  • Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • 3-6 months previous experience performing same or similar job duties preferred

  • Previous experience with LMS computer system preferred

  • Outstanding guest service skills

  • Basic computer knowledge with the ability to type 25 wpm

  • Ability to accurately add, subtract, multiply and divide using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals

  • Accurate money handling and documentation skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate in small and large group situations, as well as one-on-one

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both written and verbal

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred

  • Must be at least 18 years of age

Physical Requirements

  • Continuously standing and working indoors (more than 75% of the time)

  • Walking (50% of the time)

  • Lifting, pushing, bending, kneeling, climbing, working outdoors, using chemical agents ( less than 25% of the time)

  • Hearing, vision, speech and literacy (critical)

  • Ability to work in smoky and noisy environment.
