This position is full time Saturday - Tuesday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 10-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 6:00 am - 5:00 pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at[]{#_Hlk161402965}2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas NV.

We offer weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be based on schedule or will be discussed on your first day of employment

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage administrative intake of members
  • Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers
  • Process incoming and outgoing referrals, and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
  • Assist the clinical staff with setting up documents/triage cases for Clinical Coverage Review
  • Handle resolution/inquiries from members and/or providers
  • This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive and thorough dealing with our members over the phone. You also have to be able to work a flexible schedule that includes evening hours.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent experience
  • Necessary to be 18 years old or older
  • 2+ years of customer service experience in a Healthcare Facility
  • Knowledge of Medical Terminology
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, MicrosoftExcel and MicrosoftOutlook
  • Ability to work onsite at 2716 N Tenaya Way, Las Vegas NV
  • Ability to work any of our 10-hour shift schedule during our normal business hours of 6:00 am - 5:00 pm Saturday to Tuesday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within the health care Industry and with health care insurance
  • Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting
  • A clerical or administrative support background
  • Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes
  • Experience working in a call center

Nevada, Residents Only:The hourly range for this is $16.54 - $32.55 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited tolocal labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc.UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
