job summary:
Tatum by Randstad is recruiting for an experienced Assistant Controller for a Las Vegas-Based Gaming/Hospitality company. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for overseeing the accounting operations for the hotel and casino. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in Gaming and Non-Gaming accounting. Additionally, this company is willing to look at candidates (Senior Accountant or Audit Supervisor/Lead) for this position who are looking to take the next step in their accounting career!
The compensation range for this position is $36/hr. to $43/hr. based on experience and is an immediate need.

responsibilities:
Supervise accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory agencies, including gaming and tax authorities
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Develop and manage the annual budget in collaboration with department heads
Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing recommendations for cost control
Prepare financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making
Recruit, train, and develop finance department staff
Review and approve journal entries and reconciliations
Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits and regulatory compliance reviews
Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit inquiries
qualifications:
Previous Casino Accounting experience required; previous accounting supervisory experience highly preferred
Extensive knowledge of Nevada Gaming Control Board regulations and audit standards required
Must have or be able to obtain a Nevada Gaming License
