Robert Half Accounting Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada
Description
We are offering an opportunity for an Accounting Supervisor in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is centered on overseeing and ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions and compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will also contribute to process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the processing of journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounts, with a focus on revenue, AR, and order to cash area.
• Monitor and ensure financial transactions and general ledger accounts are properly classified.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including the preparation of journal entries, reconciliation of accounts, and variance analysis.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports, ensuring their accuracy and timeliness.
• Review balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies.
• Maintain compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies for accurate financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare and review financial reports for internal management and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and support external audit requests as necessary.
• Enforce internal control procedures to safeguard the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Identify process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations.
• Collaborate with other departments such as FP& A, HR, and Operations to ensure proper financial reporting and support of company initiatives.
• Supervise a team of accountants, ensuring proper training, workload management, and performance evaluations.
• Provide day-to-day guidance and support to the accounting team on all aspects of general accounting activities.

Requirements
• Must possess a minimum of 4+ years of experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting principles
• Experience with Journal Entries and Financial Statement Preparation
• Demonstrated Leadership Skills in a team setting
• Knowledge of Revenue Accounting, General Ledger, and Balance Sheet Reconciliation
• Familiarity with Internal Control processes in an accounting setting
• Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in using Accounting Software
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification would be an advantage.
