Industrial Painter

Location: Lansing, MI

Compensation: $19.00 - $24.00/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday:

• 1st: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• 2nd: 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM

Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with painting and packaging activities, ensuring that products meet high-quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of painting techniques, and the ability to maintain equipment and workspaces.

This company provides full services for complex mechanical products, fabricated structures, and systems. The company offers a range of services from complete design to prototype manufacturing, testing, production launch, full-rate production, and product service and sustainment. Their facilities specialize in various product solutions including suspension, driveline, track systems, fabrications, armor, and rubber track products for agricultural, construction, and defense industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain paint levels in pressure pots of paint equipment.
• Adjust spraying fluid and air pressure; direct nozzles toward parts to be coated.
• Place parts onto the conveyor for processing between operations.
• Mix paints with thinner solutions according to manufacturer recommendations.
• Regulate the temperature of ovens for optimal paint curing.
• Remove parts from the conveyor and prepare them for packaging.
• Maintain and clean spray painting equipment, including booths, tanks, hoses, and nozzles.
• Perform general labor responsibilities as needed, contributing to a clean and organized work area.

Required Skills and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED
• REQUIRED: 1-3+ years of related experience and/or training
• Strong reasoning ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and handle problems involving multiple variables in standardized situations

Physical Demands:

• May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
