Michigan Health Information Network Agile Systems Administrator in Lansing, Michigan

*Position Purpose *

The Agile Systems Administrator (ASA) manages the highly active Atlassian suite of applications across the enterprise. This position will be primarily responsible for the activation, configuration, testing and maintenance of the JIRA, Confluence, and other Atlassian applications and for managing user accounts, groups, and permission schemes. The ASA is dedicated to fostering a culture of continuous improvement through education, innovation, and collaboration. Working closely with stakeholders across departments, this position ensures Atlassian tools optimally support project management, software development, collaboration, and business processes within our organization.

This is a full-time position where days and hours can vary Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time.

Duties and responsibilities 

Primary job duties and responsibilities: 

  • Provide configuration and administrative support for the Atlassian tool suite, including JIRA Service Management, JIRA Software, Work Management and Confluence. This support includes but is not limited to the following:

``` - Coordinate and respond to support requests

``` - Create and assist with filters, customer dashboards and reports

``` - Troubleshoot and fix errors

``` - Manage and update software and licenses 

```{=html}

``` - Administer user accounts, groups, and permissions for projects 

```{=html}

``` - Collaborate effectively with staff on infrastructure maintenance 

```{=html}

``` - Configure, manage, test and enhance Jira and Confluence tools, including native functionality, testing, and integrating plugins. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

``` - Design, implement, test, and maintain custom workflows, automations, screens, dashboards, fields, and permission schemes for Agile teams

``` - Understand current Atlassian tool processes, gather and translate business requirements into technical requirements, analyze impacts and risks, and communicate with stakeholders.

``` - Develop interfaces between external tools and Jira/Confluence infrastructure.

``` - Research and implement Atlassian best practices; update documented policies and procedures accordingly.

``` - Develop JIRA skills by staying informed about industry trends and techniques.

``` - Conduct training on JIRA/Confluence and adapt sessions based on audience needs.

``` - Write and update technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation, and training materials.

``` - Ability and willingness to learn and provide backup for one or more business systems

``` - Other tasks as assigned  

Qualifications 

Required qualifications: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline. 

Minimum 2 years of experience as an Atlassian Administrator or similar role, with hands-on experience in configuring
