WK Kellogg Co Plant Operations Manager in Lancaster, Pennsylvania

We have multiple openings for Plant Operations Managers in Lancaster Pennsylvania, a 24/7 manufacturing environment. The schedule for this opportunity would likely be 5pm-3:30am and flex, either Sunday through Wednesday or Wednesday through Saturday . You will maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment as you help oversee the day-to-day activities of the plant. In this role, you will look beyond the short term to achieve long-term gains! You’ll be responsible for executing a variety of projects while keeping in mind overall safety and sanitation processes. Working Relationships:
Reports to the Senior Operations Manager, with 4 direct reports.
There will be 3 direct peers (team of 4 Operations Managers) and an overall peer group of 12.
Collaborates with corporate support functions, suppliers, and markets.
HERE’S A TASTE OF WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:
Budgeting and Planning – You’ll participate in the business planning and budgeting process by developing short and long-term cost strategies.
Guiding the Culture – Take the lead in setting and maintaining the department’s culture, with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and the organization as a whole. We’ll look to you to keep people safe and engaged!
Learning and Development – As a mentor and developer, you’ll coach leaders on the WK Kellogg Integrated Work Systems and focus on employee capability development, recognition, compatibility, and employee progression and readiness. You’ll not only help our team grow but also learn a lot yourself!
Driving Key Metrics – You’re a high achiever, so our performance-driven culture won’t be new to you. You’ll demonstrate your drive for results by measuring production, delivery, quality, cost, safety and morale through scorecards.
Implementing Policies and Procedures: You will ensure that the team is maintaining the highest level of Safety, Quality, and Food Safety standards while also identifying, implementing, and documenting operational best practices.
YOUR RECIPE FOR SUCCESS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
Eight to Ten years managerial experience in a manufacturing setting.
Experience with leading and applying lean principles in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate others.
Strong problem solving, negotiating and decision-making skills, with a proven ability to manage complex situations.
Proficiency with computers, including the Microsoft Office suite.
Collaborative work style, able to partner with leaders of other functional areas and business partners to drive overall performance.
Technical and operations experience in process, bulk material delivery or packaging.
Experience in leading Kellogg Work System (KIWS) activities helpful.
Experience in the consumer-packaged goods Industry.
SAP experience.
