Job Summary: Eurofins Medical Device Microbiology is seeking an Associate Scientist to join their dynamic team in pursuit of making the world a safer place through Medical Device testing. This individual will perform endotoxin, sterility, and bioburden testing, as well as environmental monitoring to ensure products meet regulatory standards while aligning with the Med Device philosophy of precision, proficiency, and proximity.
Hours: M-F 2-11pm
Pay: 20/hr + 10% shift differential
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate
Perform bioburden, endotoxin, and sterility testing, as well as environmental monitoring
Perform microscopy and utilize testing equipment, including incubation chambers, water baths, depyrogenation oven, plate readers, Steritest Symbio pump, among others.
Read test results and compare to acceptance criteria
Enter data into computer system
Maintain/calibrate equipment
Prepare and wash glassware
Performs other duties as assigned
The ideal candidate would possess:
Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in biology, microbiology, or other related degree concentration, or equivalent directly-related experience (two years of directly related industry experience is equivalent to one full-time year of college in related major)
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Position is full-time position, Monday - Friday 2:00pm - 11:00pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
