Group Summary
Magna is an innovative leader in the development and manufacturing of seating structures, foam and trim, mechanisms, and complete seats for global automotive, heavy truck and bus industries. Process all new hire information, employee information changes and updates through the HRIS (Workday/Dayforce) to ensure accurate record keeping
Act as back-up for new employee orientation to help employees gain an understanding of the company policies, procedures, benefit plans and enrollment requirements
Process employee biometric timeclock set-up
Assist employees with general questions related to benefits, policies, programs, pay concerns; refers complaints and other issues to HR Manager or Supervisor for resolution
Provide management with employee information for monthly All Employee Meeting
First point of contact for internal customer service; all other duties assigned by Dept. Manager
MUST have manufacturing environment experience along with Workday/Dayforce
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field, with a minimum of two years human resources experience; OR 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment required.
Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment is needed, supporting an employee base of at least 400.
Must be proficient in Workday/Dayforce, MS Office applications, with above average Excel skills
Strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written skills along with good presentation skills are required to effectively communicate with all levels of employees
Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations; must be flexible to changing needs of the business
Basic knowledge of COBRA, ERISA, FMLA, ADA and related state and federal regulations required.
