Ryerson Maintenance Technician | Lancaster in Lancaster, New York
Position Description: Ryerson has an opportunity for a Maintenance Technician position. The successful candidate will perform major repairs to equipment and facilities, routine PM, and other duties as assigned. The future will be made from metal. At Ryerson, you have the opportunity to grow in your career, work with teammates that feel like family, and help make Roles and responsibilities include: * Diagnosing electrical and/or mechanical troubles, makes repairs and/or suggestions to the same * Maintains inventory of maintenance supplies, material and equipment * Inspects, lubricates and adjusts equipment in accordance with Preventive Maintenance program * Makes repairs to burning, cut-to-length line, and heavy industrial equipment * Makes minor repairs to building and helps to maintain heating, air conditioning and ventilating equipment * Job details include preventive/predictive maintenance * Spare parts inventory control; Vendor sourcing; Project management * All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without noticePosition Requirements: * High School Diploma or GED * Candidate must have 3-5 years of high level maintenance experience, working in a fast paced environment * Ability to find, enter, and print information on a computer as necessary. Computer and solid math skills are required. * Ability to pass physical requirements exam for vision and hearing, as well as mobility and lifting requirements * Experience working with cut to length lines, burning equipment, and electrical/PLC are a plus * Ability to read blue prints is a must with aptitude to trouble-shoot problems on older equipment Salary: $24.89 to $30.00 hourly (reflects the entire pay rate).
